It is easy, you just need to install a tiny and simple extension called Custom Google Background. You can install it to your Chrome from Chrome webstore and automatically it provide a new background for Google homepage at your Chrome.
To prove it just access Google search engine and you will see it with new background. Maybe you want to add your own image as background, just click change background from footer at Google homepage and it will bring you to the options page or another way to access its options is from chrome://extensions page.
From Custom Google Bacground Option you can customize a background easily such add image from your computer, web and from 500px photography. You can randomize an image to show different image that you have add every time you refresh the Google homepage.
The last option is to personalize it scuh to hide Google default tool such Google logo, lucky button and many more.
